Efrelyn is a Senior Manager, Tax at Andersen, providing cross-border tax services to U.S. citizens living in Canada. Canadians moving to or conducting business in the U.S. and expatriates assigned to work in Canada (inbound) or in other countries (outbound).

Efrelyn has provided global mobility services to clients by assisting their employees on cross-border assignments in Canada and the U.S. with their compliance obligations, tax equalization and payroll consequences.

Before joining Andersen, Efrelyn worked with other big firms’ global employer services where she assisted companies with expatriates on international assignment in dealing with issues on permanent establishment, taxation, regulatory compliance, and the implications to expatriates for their tax status and personal liability in the host country. Efrelyn’s career spans approximately 19 years in the tax field.

Efrelyn’s work experience extends beyond tax services. She also worked with big firms providing audit, consulting, financial and tax due diligence for restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of multinational companies investing in the Asia-Pacific region.
